Are treatments covered by insurance?

Physiotherapy treatments are not covered by Manitoba Health, status, or social assistance in a private clinic.  If you have a third party insurer, check your plan to see if all or a portion of your physiotherapy treatments may be covered.

Do you direct bill to the insurance company?

Direct billing is possible for Workers Compensation (WCB) with a claim number, Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) with a claim number, Blue Cross, Great West Life, Manulife, Sun Life Financial, Desjardins, iA Financial Group, Johnson, Johnston Group, Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance Plan, CINUP, Cowan, First Canadian Insurance Corporation, Group Health, Group Source, Manion, and Maximum Benefit.  Please check with your plan to ensure direct billing is allowed, as in some cases your individual plan may require that you pay in full and submit your own receipts for reimbursement.   All clients with other insurance coverage plans must pay at each visit and then submit receipts to your insurer to be reimbursed.

My injury occurred at work. How do I get coverage?

You should have filled out a Workers Compensation Board incident report with your employer. You will need to be assigned a WCB claim number. (You can get this by calling 1-800-362-3340 from 8am – 7pm).  This claim number will be required prior to your first visit, which will be automatically covered by WCB. Claim approval is required from WCB before any further treatment is provided. If your claim is approved, you are automatically covered for up to 21 treatments which includes your initial assessment. If you require more than this, we will submit a request for additional funding, which is subject to WCB approval. If your claim is denied, WCB will cover only the initial assessment and the remaining visits will be up to you to pay for out of pocket or use your third party insurance, if applicable, to cover all or a portion of the additional treatments.

My injury is the result of a motor vehicle accident.  How do I get coverage?

Contact MPI to report a Bodily Injury Claim. You will receive a claim number. (note: this will be different from your Vehicle Claim Number) This claim number is required when you book your first physiotherapy appointment.

How do I make an appointment?

Please call 1-204-571-1891 or book online to make an appointment.  We do take walk ins when able.

How many treatments will I need?

Your physiotherapist will perform an assessment and propose a treatment plan.  Your physiotherapist will work with you to set up a plan based on your goals, availability, and financial constraints.
